D&H2021- A Love Match Made In Service

What are the odds of a love match between two people who don’t get along well? Very little, yeah?

Damilola and Henry’s love story is almost magical especially because they never got along well when they first met. After reading this, you’d probably be tempted to make some lifestyle changes. It’s either you draw your “enemies” closer or you start considering doing N.Y.S.C. In fact, if you have already done it, you may contemplate breaking the rules and serving Nigeria twice.

How It Started

We are convinced that this can only be a match made in heaven because of the effect they have on each other. Dami told us that when they first met during their service year in 2015, she did not even like him because she thought he was proud.

Henry, on the other hand, could not deny the sparks. Or else what would have motivated him to walk up to her at the end of N.Y.S.C. to tell her of his intentions to marry her in the future?

“We are going to meet in the future and we’ll get married.” he said.

“I thought it was a joke. We don’t even talk, so how?”

– Dami

Her Reaction

Dami obviously thought his bold declaration was a joke. They did not even have each other’s mobile numbers. They did not speak to each other until after two years when Henry remembered her and decided to call. The conversation did not amount to anything until about a year later when Henry was transferred to the North at work. He called Dami up and that was how it started.

Long story short, I realized I had to spend the rest of my life with this babe and nothing was going to stop me.”

-Henry

Dami, of course did a bit of shakara when he called her up, acting like she didn’t know who he was. They got talking and recently sealed their love match in an intimate church wedding in Lagos.

Their Lovely White Wedding

Beautiful pictures from the wedding, which we must commend for the level of Covid-19 compliance was documented by Peacock Studios.

We wish the beautiful couple a blessed union.
