“The most important thing to remember in choosing the best man, is that the best man has a lot of responsibilities,” says Chris Easter, co-founder of TheManRegistry.com. “They need to plan the bachelor party, help the groom get ready on the day of the wedding, give a toast and they’re responsible for the wedding band. You want someone can do all of this, and who knows you well. It’s a lot to consider.”
While there are no hard-and-fast rules for who should get the honor, there are guidelines.
