An introduction ceremony is the first in a series of celebrations before the actual wedding day. In most Nigerian cultures, introduction happens after the groom proposes to the bride.
Introduction ceremonies allow both families (the bride and groom’s) to meet and make plans for the wedding. The ceremony usually holds in the bride’s home and the groom comes with his people, bearing gifts for the bride and her family.
In some families, introductions are a small affair with just the parents and siblings of the bride and groom and a few members of both extended families present. On the other hand, some families may choose to celebrate this in a grander style and make it a party.
Olaromola and Adewole’s introduction ceremony was an intimate affair, well documented by A Square Studios. We wish the amazing couple a blessed union.
